Very informative article. I've found your blog via Google and I'm really happy about the information you provide in your articles. Btw your sites layout is really messed up on the Chrome browser. Would be really great if you could fix that. Anyhow keep up the good work!

Living in Canada where our recycling programs are much more developed vs. the U.S. we still send more than 7 out of 10 plastic bottles to landfill. This is a huge issue that Nalgene and Brita have tied nicely to those wanting to live healthier and treat our surroundings better.

I noticed on tonight's show (1/8/2008) that all Biggest Loser team members had their FilterforGood Nalgene water bottle with them. Of course I noticed becuase I was looking for it this time. I missed the first few minutes of the show, but I think the Brita/Nalgene team up against plastic water bottles was not mentioned again. Again, a missed opportunity for the Biggest Loser Show to get mileage for instituting some greeen practices, restate the message, sell more bottles, and earn more for Blue Planet Run. I am all for consistency.

Adam:
I really like your idea for taking this campaign to the next level by having the Biggest Loser contestants participate in the Blue Planet Run itself. That would be such a great way to reinforce what the show and the sponsor are doing and get great press for the run itself. I guess we need to stay tuned...to see if they thought of it! Wish I had a contact at NBC so I could pass along your suggestion to the producers of the show!

It seems to me the tv show could have its contestants be involved in the Blue Planet Run. That seems like a great way to feature the run as well. Since the show just started, maybe it is something they have coming up in a later episode, if not, you're right, this is a big missed opportunity.
